Soft Rope FAQ

What is the softest rope I can buy?

Cotton.  However, all products on this page are soft to the touch and feel nice to handle.  Jute, for example, is a furry textured soft material that can be used for many of the same applications plus it is more interesting to look at and offers a better grip.

What is the best option for making handicrafts?

Jute and cotton rope are often used for crafts and modeling.  However, it would depend on the type of craft activity that you are planning to do.   Please see our Arts and Crafts category for more information and guidance.

Is this soft enough to be tied up with?

Yes, Cotton rope is the most skin-kind material available but all products on this page could be used for tying up.

Can I use them to lift something heavy?

Yes.  Nylon rope and Polyester are both used for lifting items over 1 tonne and anywhere up to 16 tonnes.  They are both tested and certified to ensure accurate breakloads are advertised.  Use the filters are the top of this page to select the exact breakload you require.
