Waterproof Rope FAQ
Will they float in water?
With the exception of Polyester and Leaded Polysteel all products on this page will float in water. For more information please visit the Floating Rope category
Which is the best option for mooring a boat?
The most popular option is Nylon. Polypropylene is also a popular choice among boat owners as it has a comparable strength but it is significantly cheaper. However, it is not as soft and nice to grip when handling.
For more information, please visit the Mooring Rope category.
Which option is best for outdoor use?
All waterproof ropes on this page are made from synthetic material. None of them will rot. Polyester is probably the best all-round outdoor product but it will greatly depend on its intended application. For a good multi-use waterproof rope Polypropylene is a good quality and economical choice. It can be used for mooring, pulling, tying down, lifting and much more if required.
